Plastic spur gears offer a lightweight, versatile alternative to traditional steel and stainless steel gears, ideal for applications that need reduced noise and minimal maintenance. Available in three injection-molded variants, Stagnoli thermoplastic and technopolymer spur gears bring unique advantages:
PA6 Nylon gears, reinforced with glass fiber, handle high torque at low speeds, ideal for demanding applications and compliant with food-contact standards in the blue range. POM acetal resin gears excel at high speeds with stable dimensions and low water absorption, also food-safe. Finally, polyketone gears deliver outstanding chemical and impact resistance and perform well in high temperatures, making them perfect for shock-absorbing environments.
