These regulations will apply to all member states and will aim to reduce energy consumption and encourage the development and use of environmentally friendly electric motors.<\/p>\n<p>The new regulations set stricter energy efficiency standards for electric motors placed on the European market. Manufacturers will be required to produce electric motors with higher efficiency and lower energy consumption than older models.
